Flows are 134 cfs. Flows are dropping daily. It got a boost from a rain storm a few days ago but it is now dropping again. Nymphing has been very effective in the mornings and evenings. Golden Stones, Tricos, Caddis and Little Yellow Stones are in the system right now. Dry dropper techniques are also worth shot.

Flows are dropping fast. Currently they are 283 CFS. This is a great flow but it is dropping so fast that the fish are a little spooky. Evenings have been producing some dry fly activity. Dry dropper set-ups have been working during the day.

Most reports indicate warm water temps and a lot of Algae. Seasoned fly fisherman are still catching fish with sinking lines. The Algae is only in the top 6 inches of the water column. Woolybuggers, Leaches, Sheep Creek Specials and Damsel Nymphs have been the most affective

Flows are still in the 700 cfs range. If you look at the flow chart the water is still going up and down about 100 cfs a day. It is probably fish able but with so much else to do wait another week or so to hit the East Carson.

Opened on June 14th. The fishing is awesome. The road is in good shape. There will be a lot of anglers there on weekends due to the fantastic fishing last year. Midges and Copper Johns fished under an indicator was great on the opener as well as Scuds, Sheep Creek Specials and Damsels fished with an intermediate line.

Anglers have been catching rainbow trout and the odd largemouth bass. Some anglers have reportedly caught a few crappie, but Park Supervisor Ben Johnson said it's still a little early yet. Crappie activity should increase in the coming weeks. For trout try night crawlers or PowerBait.

PowerBait, worms and Woolly Buggers have all been taking rainbow trout at Willow Beach. The fishing is sluggish, but anglers are catching fish. At Saddle Cove (B-5 road) anglers caught a mess of striped bass following the trout plant on Friday, all described as "nice fish." There will be no more trout plants until the fall.
