Great great morning. Quit early because they were ready for beer-thirty. Today was Eric’s birthday trip and what a birthday present it was. Started the morning off with a triple of all good keepers. Though we did release the 15 pound hen in the group. Caught over 40 fish today releasing 15 keepers and keeping our 10. It’s fried striper for dinner tonight!!

Striper season typically starts to wind down this time of year but the fish obviously did not get the memo. Was great to have a full boat today to show off the awesome bite going on in the delta. We caught em mainly power drifting live minnows but also scored well with deep diving YoZuris in silver/black and candy. Fish are not scattered this time

What a day today. Got lucky and landed right on the fish at secret spot #1. Secret spot #2 was not so secret as there were 5 boats there. Made 1 pass and saw only a few fish. Looked accross river and wondered if anyone was crazy enough to fish in the direct wind. Well, had secret spot #3 all by myself and after multiple

Flat calm at first light and caught some fish. Breeze picked up and caught some fish. Wind picked up a little and caught some more. Weatherman said it was gonna be windy. He was correct. 25-30mph winds blowing against a strong outgo made for a very wet and rough morning. But they came prepared and we knocked the $&@! Out of em. Love the 2 person charters. Means no pressure. Lol. Paid off today. Caught em mostly on deep divers on both sides of the delta but released big mama on a rattletrap at the bottom of the tide in 4’ of water. First thought it was a bunch of weeds still that bunch of weeds started going to the side. Lol

            We’ll, clients slept in today so made a call and went fishing anyways. Found some great fish but they were in an area full of floating debris. Frustrating but worth it. Got a hog too at 18 pounds. Tried to release but after trying to revive, it shot the rest of his milt and was 2 pounds lighter. Lol. 2 pounds of jizz. Lol   Off next

It was a tough bite today. Sac side is dead!!! Everything on SJ. Hopefully the Smolt plants bring em back.

Wet and windy morning but we finally found em. Took a few hrs. Unfortunately half a dozen sea lions found em too. Lost 2 gooders to mr sea lion but we were able to fight one off to get a headless gooder in the net. Mr sea lion was not happy at all. Deep divers fishing in a lot of debris meant lots of work

3 double digit fish today. 2 released. Numbers just were not there today but can’t complain about size. Rattletraps early, the deep divers after the bite died.
