Another Windy Day

Another windy day but the fish did not care at Boca today. Lotta Tahoe trips canceled but we can fish the smaller lakes just fine. Paulina Peak Tackle watermelon sparkle hoochie was tops in the morning, then the Tahoe Kokanee Crack took off.

Strong Winds Made For A Slower Day

Strong winds made for a slower day at Boca but where there’s a will there’s a way. Used the bow mount with the wind, kicker against. Was able to keep at 1.2 pretty well. Paulina Peak Tackle Tahoe kokanee crack still tops, along with watermelon hoochie and watermelon spinner. Caught em 10-40’ otw. Nice using Shark Cannonballs in the wind because they track so well.

Slower fishing today than I’m used to but persistence pays off. Paulina Peak Tackle. P-lite Dodgers and anything pink and green was tops today. Also released a nice brown today.

Striper Fishing is Not Done Yet

Though a very few are still trying, striper fishing not done yet. Caught 12 keepers to 10 pounds trolling deep divers on the sacramento side of the delta. Was it windy today? Just a tad but great tides make all the difference!!

Lotta Fish Caught Today

Fish didn’t start to bite till the wind started to bellow. Lotta fish caught today. Nearing the end of my season down here in the valley. Have some open dates if anyone is interested.

Caught With Deep Divers on Sac Side

Not quite what we were expecting after catching over 30 fish today but still had a great time. Caught em with deep divers on the sac side and live bait on the SJ side.

Tough Day But Managed Limits

Tough day today but we still managed limits. A little windy too. Caught on deep divers and live bait on both sacramento side and San Joaquin side. Did a little running around today.

Wide Open Bite This Morning

Wide open bite this morning for about an hour. Probably caught 15+ fish real fast. Multiple doubles. Then mr sea lion snd the tide slowed the bite. A quick move and we were back on em. Perfect tides this week and have a few open dates. All fish caught on deep divers.

Striper For Dinner

They said it was gonna be too rough and windy to drift bait. Well it was but we caught em anyways. Light load today and a couple buddies meant I can have striper for dinner tonight!!! No luck on the smolt plant though the fleet was out there. Did just fine away from everyone.

Kind of a struggle today. Caught the bulk of our fish today in the last hour. The big minnows were not working well. Smallest I could find did best. 10 yr old Cooper said in the morning he was gonna catch the biggest fish and he did. Great job Coop!!

Weatherman said it was gonna be a wet and windy day. It was not. Nice and calm and a great family that had lots of fun. Yes we were short a limit but smiling faces is all I need to call today a success!!
