Great morning of striper fishing!!! Had 11 keepers at 9am then big ship went by, brought a bunch of grass in the water turning off the bite. Made the move the the other side of the delta and quickly found a mess of gooders and we called it quits at 11. Caught on rattletraps and deep diving YoZuris. Don’t forget about my seminar this Saturday

Crazy good rattletrap bite till 8am. Then it slowed. Multiple doubles but no triples or quads. Made a big move then lucked into the big girl which we released to fight another day. Caught on guess what? A rattletrap of course. Lol. Then switched to deep divers after the tide shut off the bite.

Where did they go?!!! Slowed down today in the delta. Ended with 7 keepers and a bunch of shakers. At least we were able to get a few gooder fish. Didn’t catch anything shallow. Only deep divers and live bait.

Between the wind and the weeds and the waves, and the weeds, and the weeds,.... we managed 6 keepers. Lotta weeds everywhere we went. When we found some clean water, it was too rough. When we found calm water, we found the weeds. Got some tricks up my sleeve tomorrow in the wind.

Being my last day of Kokanee season for me, I bet these kids a Tight Lines hat they didn’t have the guts to hold a kokanee in their teeth. Well I lost the bet but got a great picture as a result. Boca provided a whole deck of gooder kokanee today. Even with an emergency pit stop at the restroom in the thick fog, we managed to stay on em. ********Monday August 31 *******. is my only open date this kokanee season till next year.   Side note. There are a few real good places to launch from the east side. Be courteous and pull away from the shoreline

Boca is still hot for fat kokanee to over 14”. Key is to start early. Best bite today was before sun hit the water. But still caught plenty after too. Did release a nice brown first thing. Found some fish in the shallows today at Boca. Though the males were darker but still great eating and fighting. Sun broke out of the smoke sooner today so had to fish a bit deeper to get em.
