The bass are starting to make their way towards the banks a bit more with the warmer weather but have still been biting anywhere up to 30 feet deep using various soft plastic set ups or deep diving crank baits and jerk baits off steeper walls and rocky points. Some trout have been bought back from coves on the other end of the lake like Posey, Bear Trap and Brazzos or Spanish Point areas using nightcrawler set up with a couple slit shots with a long leader. Catfish are still biting throughout the lake in little coves and sandy banks or steep drop offs on cut baits such as chicken liver, mackerel and night crawlers as well. Stripers have been caught drifting chunks of bait up to 60 feet or so such as Sardines and anchovies or even drop shot lugworms or cut bait off deeper points throughout the lake.

Water temperature: 55 degrees
