Fishing for trout over the past week has been very good with the most recent trout plant on Tuesday the 29th both from the shoreline and all around the lake throughout the coves. Power baits and nightcrawlers have been working very well using a couple split shot to manage the winds and currents or even drop shot style with a nightcrawler has been very effective. Bas have been biting a lot of various soft plastic set ups such as senkos and jigs or roboworms. Other deeper diving baits have been working well in the morning hours using jerk baits and crank baits along rocky points and steeper walls. Stripers have still been biting mainly on various cut baits such as fresh sardines or lugworms. Catfish have also been biting on various cut baits as well such as mackerel or chicken liver along with anchovies and sardines with heavy sinker.
