Stampede Reservoir remains at full capacity, with water temperatures averaging in the mid 50s°F. The boat launch is fully open, and kokanee fishing continues to improve as fish become increasingly aggressive. Anglers should target kokanee in 25 to 40 feet of water using pink or orange hoochies behind dodgers, particularly around the Sagehen and Little Truckee inlets. Most kokanee are still averaging 8–10 inches in size. Rainbow trout anglers trolling Rapalas are finding steady action, while shore anglers are picking up fish on spinners, worms, and PowerBait or worms fished with a slip sinker rig.
