The BLM continues to work on repairs on the Wilson Reservoir Campground Road. Anglers should be advised that the road may not be open during certain times of the day. The advisory sign states: “Road Closed from Monday – Friday 8:00am -11:00am and 1:00pm – 4:00pm through November 3, 2026. Access to the campground maintained when possible.” Further questions on this project should be directed to the Tuscarora BLM Field Office at 775-753-0200.
Water levels are low; down approximately 12 ft. The boat ramp is completely out of the water and inaccessible. Shoreline fishing access is possible but may be muddy due to low water levels. Water temperatures are measuring in the mid 60’s at the boat ramp in the afternoon and there is still quite a bit of vegetation present in the shallows. Bass fishing has still been good with fish over 15″ reported.
