The lake level has dropped and the fishing has slowed down. Here again is where that early morning fishing is more productive. I would recommend getting your presentation down deeper with either a lead line or a down rigger. Shore fishing has been fair for anglers on the south end with powerbait.

Flows have been hovering around 150cfs and fishing has been excellent this summer. Trout have been stocked several times around broken dam and should continue to see supplemental stocking until flows really drop and temperatures climb. Fishing has been good when you can get out. I spoke with Jason Blanchette the other day. He went out with family. They were trolling big plugs on the west side of the lake early in the morning until about 10:30 AM. Lake Tahoe Fishing Report Date: April 30, 2025 Submitted by: Jason Report: Jason’s wife, Diana, caught two Mackinaw trout at Lake Tahoe—one weighed 25 pounds and the other 20 pounds. They tried to release both fish. The 20-pounder swam away just fine, but the bigger fish didn’t make it.
