Mackinaw Lake trout fishing on Lake Tahoe is excellent right now for limits of 1 to  8 pounds . Cal Neva point, Sugar Pine point , Dollar Point , and the south shore shelf's are all heavily loaded with mackinaw lake trout . They are stuffed to the gills with shrimp, crawdads , and Kokanee Salmon . Dodgers and flashers trailed with a minnow are

A bit on the breezy side this morning but.... we got some nice Mackinaw before the big stuff started to blow.

The wind and the fish made us earn it today!

Slow start to the day. Bite progressed into a flurry at the end even hooking up during pictures and cleaning! 3 species. Fun day!

What a great family outing we had. These two boys got a hold of some nice fish!

We had a slew of macs but the highlight was another nice Brown Mark caught. Guess I coulda taken pictures of the macs!

Great outing on beautiful Lake Tahoe today!

A mix bag of a rainbow, couple Brown trout and some Lakers! Battled some big swells from north early then it backed off a bit only to come back at the end!

Wow !! nice looking fish 13 lb Mackinaw! Great to see you guys again! It's real cool watching how big he's getting from year to year.

Today started slow today but we eased into shallow macs that were lil smaller, then rainbows made appearance in between catches and then checked few spots and found some willing browns!

Question:  When fishing for mackinaw trout on Lake Tahoe, how is it legal to clearly video yourself catching six fish but then giving them away to your buddies? The limit for macks is two fish, but in this video the person keeps one on the stringer and then gives the rest away to his buddies until they all have limits together. I am assuming that if he’s posting

Nice lil outing today, we got few couple brown trout, 5 lakers and a nice rainbow. We then took some time to check waterfalls at Emerald bay then came home!

Definitely got wet in rain this morning, managed 3 browns and a Mac but the bite was most definitely off compared to recent action!

Pretty good day of fishing! Crazy weather, we had snow, wind, sun almost all four seasons in one trip!

Two trips again today. Weather was a grind but we got out, forecast was not a chance but we got lucky to fish. Pick bite early for decent count. Couple brown trout and Macs, afternoon two boat trip started slow but late in trip as weather rolled in bite came alive at very end with browns-and bows and tiny bow got attacked by big fish!
