Sam checked in with an angler report from Topaz Lake on March 21st, 2024. The day was nice and clear. We caught two trout in the morning. Saw lots of eagles around the lake. Noticed quite a bit of debris at the north end of the lake.

            On 8/29/2023 the Lahontan National Fish Hatchery Complex completed stocking 100,000 Pilot Peak strain Lahontan cutthroat trout into Lake Tahoe for the 2023 season. A total of 25% of the trout stocked this year were tagged with a T-bar anchor tag that has a unique ID and phone number on it.
