The lake level has been dropping a little to accomodate for the snow melt. The lake level is low enough to camp on the east shore in the Douglas park area. Fishing has been fair for shore and trollers. NDOW planted the lake with rainbow trout recently.

Beautiful day to be out fishing!

Yesterday we had nice steady pick, not hot but plenty enough keep us busy as we caught as we switched tactics.   Today we got slapped up by fish only scratching our few and missed few.   But that’s truth here. Report as is really happened.   Tomorrow????

The lake level has gone down  about 5 feet since my last trip. The Douglas County ramp is open, but the docks are out of the water about 3 ft. For smaller boats it may be difficult to tie up. The water level has been fluctuating up and down a foot or so. The ramp is open to launch. The shore is clear for people to drive down to. Be careful where you venture down to, there are still a lot of slick muddy trails. NDOW planted the lake this week with over 3000 tiger trout. Trollers have been using flashers and a half crawler.

We were able to get in a bit of fishing between storms. Great seeing you guys again, see you next spring, winter, what ever this is we are in Thanks again

The lake and the boat launch area is thawing nicely. I am planning a trip up to see how the boat ramp is, and if it is safe to use. A few angler have been getting down to the shore on the north and south end. Be careful along the shore. In the morning the ground is solid and frozen. But it will soften and

We had some great fishing today, weather,,, not so much. Dumping snow, at least the wind stayed down.

The lake has risen about 5- to 8 feet. The California side still has too much snow on the bank to drive down to. I saw where someone had driven down to the shore on the north end and got stuck in the snow and mud. A couple people had parked up on the road and walked down to shore fish. The Douglas County boat
