Angel Lake Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The road to Angel Lake is closed. There will be no further reports until late next spring or early summer depending upon snow conditions.

South Fork Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
As of Thursday, this lake was ice free! Anglers have caught fish using PowerBait or worms and fly fishermen have had luck with disco balls, chironomids and hares ears. The trick is to not fish to far from shore as the fish are moving into the shallower warmer water and to use very small presentations. The county road is severely pot

Willow Creek Reservoir Fishing Report

by ARIZONA GAME & FISH DEPARTMENT
Largemouth bass are the predominant species. Shore fishing is difficult due to the aquatic vegetation although the cold temperatures have helped cleared some of that mess. Try top water baits so you can eliminate some of the snagging. If you are in a boat or float tube you can always retrieve your baits without too much difficulty. Try drop shots from shore also. If you

Jakes Creek Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Jakes Creek is covered with unsafe ice, give it a week or so and then check the thickness before venturing too far from shore. We hope to have an ice report for next weekend’s fishing report.

Jiggs Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
This lake is frozen with unsafe ice. Due to the aerator which will be turned on shortly, don’t expect safe enough ice for ice fishing here this year.

Ruby Lake Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Harrison Pass is snowed in and should be considered closed for the winter so anglers will need to travel the long way through Secret Pass. Most anglers are catching 12 to 14 inch tiger trout using a variety of flies, spinners and lures with an occasional 16-20 inch fish being taken in the collection ditch. Water through the ditch has increased flows especially along Brown

Wild Horse Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Surface water temperature is in the 30’s and the lake has frozen over once so far last weekend, but the winds broke up much of the ice. There is ice in the coves and at the south end with sheets of ice being blown around the open lake as of mid-week. With the unusual warm temperatures and rain, ice won’t be building this weekend, but

Wilson Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
With the recent precipitation, expect the road to be 4WD only and travel isn’t recommended. No recent report, but conditions are generally the same as at South Fork. If you do head in this direction for some chukar hunting, you may find some open water to wet a line. Use the same patterns and techniques as at South Fork.

South Fork Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
There is ice in the coves and the south end of the lake but still some shoreline with open water to fish. The warm weather and even some rain here this week, is keeping the lake from freezing over. It looks like Sunday, December 11, will be the best day for fishing for the next 10 days as we are in a very wet cycle

Bilk Creek Reservoir: Fishing has been good for trout. Trout were stocked in early October. Bass fishing has been fair and will slow down at the temperatures cool. Anglers in float tubes casting top water poppers at the bass will catch fish. Trout fishing should remain good until ice over. Chimney Reservoir: Fishing has been slow to fair. As it warms up fishing is expected

Jakes Creek Reservoir Fishing Report

Fishing has been fair to good here for trout and just fair for bass. Anglers will probably not catch many bass, but the ones they catch should be larger in size. Last weekend’s weather killed off and then blew some of the weed beds to shore, so shore fishing is getting better, though a float tube or small boat will definitely make fishing easier. For

Jiggs Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Not a lot of change here. The weeds are dying back and the algae has cleared. Expect fishing to continue to improve as the water temperatures fall. The usual PowerBait or worms should work for bait anglers and small spinners are the ticket for spin fishermen. Fly rodders are having luck with dark colored buggers, leeches, hares ears and nymphs with peacock herl. Expect the

Narciss boat ramp is bone dry and the main boat ramp water level is also very low with the floats holding up the dock resting on mud. The concrete ramp is completely out of the water and only car-toppers, canoes and kayaks are recommended at the main boat ramp. While bass fishing died off this past weekend with the cold weather, this weekend’s warmer weather

Wild Horse Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The lake has cleared of algae and the aquatic vegetation continues to die off making fishing easier. The lake is a little over 40% of capacity and the state park boat ramp is still usable, but larger boats will want to use caution. Anglers report good luck from shore and last fall’s stocking is paying off with larger fish. Fly fishermen are having some luck

Willow Creek Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Extremely low water levels with warm water make this reservoir a poor choice for fishing. Not worth the trip.

Wilson Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Most of the trout are averaging 12 to 14 inches while the bass are averaging less than 10 inches. The lake is about 60% of capacity and the boat ramp is usable. The water is clearing here and the water quality is good. Trout were being caught from the boat ramp through the campground. Fly rodders are having luck with olive buggers and leech patterns
