Sceirine Ranch has seen lot of fish between 16 to 18" being taken this week

The Ranch has been fishing excellent this past week, lots of nice fish in the 16 to 18 inch range and quite a few fish going over 20. Micro stones, pheasant tails and dark lords are working in addition to the flies listed above.

Good reports from the Sceirine

by JIM REID
We've had a couple clients on the Sceirine this week and they seemed to have pretty good days. There are a lot more fish holding on the Sceirine than on the Rosachi right now. The best reports we had from the Sceirine have been with nymphs like micro stones, wd-40's, pheasant tails and birds nests.

We got good reports from the Sceirine this week

We've had a few clients on the ranch this past week and most have done very well. Most of the same patterns that work on the Cali side will also work on the Sceirine. Dry/dropper rigs also have been producing very well down there.

Hinkson continues to fish great

by TRUCKEE RIVER OUTFITTERS
Anglers are catching fish on a variety of methods from both shore and from float tubes. Retrieving just about anything with an intermediate line will work but without a doubt the best fishing is under an indicator with Pyramid sized midges and nymphs.

Fish in the 12 to 15 inch range are the norm at Hinkson Slough

by TRUCKEE RIVER OUTFITTERS
Reports from last weekend were pretty good. Fish in the 12-15 inch range are common. Hinkson is mostly a Rainbow fishery but you would be surprised what you might catch. Monster Midges a lot like the ones we fish at Pyramid have been working well. You can either fish them on an intermediate line with 6-9 foot leader or under an indicator and hang those

No reports coming out of the Sceirine but the fishing should be excellent.

by JIM REID
We haven't had any clients on the Sceirine lately but it should be fishing excellent as well. If you want some solitude this could be a great opportunity for you!

Sceirine Ranch is fishing like the East Walker, probably better

by JIM REID
Pretty much the same story on the ranch as on the Cali side of the river, it does warm up a bit earlier each day down on the Nevada side so you probably have a slightly larger window of opportunity down there as far as good fishing hours go. Work those same patterns in the deeper pockets down there and you should have some great

This is a great time of year to fish the Scerine Ranch

The Sceirine has been fishing excellent lately

by JIM REID
The Sceirine is still fishing excellent as well, the bookings are thinning out a bit later this week so there's room on the calendar to get on the ranch. If you are interested in some great private water where you can have a couple miles of river to yourself just give us a call!

The Sceirine is fishing excellent these days

by JIM REID
The Sceirine is fishing excellent lately as well, much the same patterns as on the California side, plus you can go with a copper john or birds nest as well.

Trout in the 20-24" range are being reported at Sceirine Ranch

by JIM REID
The Sceirine is also fishing excellent with some nice 20 to 24 inch fish making a showing. Pretty much the same patterns as on the Cali side seem to be working. Streamers and dry/dropper rigs have been very productive on the ranch.

The Sceirine is fishing excellent lately

by JIM REID
Many of the same patterns as listed for the East Walker have been working on the ranch. Good dry/dropper action as well as nymphing and streamers. The weather is changing in the Sierra daily so sometimes patterns will change often as well.

by JIM REID
Dry/dropper rigs, streamers and nymphs have all been doing well. There's a lot of dates booked up for the ranch the next few weeks so if you want to get on there give us a call to check availability.

East Carson River fly fishing conditions are excellent for this time of year

by TRUCKEE RIVER OUTFITTERS
Carson River Flows are down to 146 CFS. They are really holding on this summer and the conditions are great for this time of year. The water is really clear and a stealthy approach is a must. Longer casts and longer leaders with dry flies like Adams, Cahill's and Hoppers are worth a try. Nymphing in the deeper runs with either a dry dropper or

Fly Fishing at Sceirine Ranch has been good

by JIM REID
The Sceirine is fishing well, some nice fish hanging out on the ranch these days. Crayfish, dry/dropper and nymphing have all been doing well. Pretty much the same patterns as on the cali side with the addition of some big dries like madam-x and chubby chernobyls.

The Sceirine has been fishing well lately, but I expect it to get better when the flows come down

by JIM REID
There's some really nice fish hanging out on the ranch right now and they don't tend to be quite as wary as the fish on the California side. Successful patterns include 3-wire caddis, fox's poopah, birds nest, san juan worm, flashback emergers. Also there's been some good reports from the ranch on dry/dropper rigs as well.

The East Carson is in great shape

by TRUCKEE RIVER OUTFITTERS
Flows are down to 181 CFS. The water really is clear and still dropping a little each day. Dry dropper set-ups are a popular choice as the flows get even lower over the next couple of months. Baetis, Trico's, Midges, Caddis and Stone flies are all a good bet. Use a Golden Stone or a Hopper pattern for the dry. There is still a little

Lot's 0f 20 inch fish caught on Sceirine Ranch this week

by JIM REID
The Sceirine has been fishing well this past week also, dry/dropper rigs are doing well and we've had some good reports on streamers. Other than that it's the usual nymphs like the ones being used on the California side. Lots of fish being caught in the 20+ inch range.
