There was a large plant of fish on Friday, especially at the junction of S.R. 88 and S.R. 89. On Saturday, Julian Martin of Carson City caught a 7.5 pound planter on a small fly. Missy and Shirley at Burke's Market at Silver Springs (775-577-2750): A 10-pound, 5-ounce Walleye on Saturday, a 5-pound Walleye on Saturday at Beach No. 3, and some young kids with toy-like fishing poles caught 22 fish at Beach No. 7.

Elmer Bull of Yerington reported he and his family had fairly good action on Saturday afternoon at Beach No. 6 with live minnows and worms, dragged slowly along the bottom. They caught some walleye, a 12-inch crappie (on a sinking Rapala lure) and lots of small white bass.

Dave Kirby: Not very many fishermen. The water is extremely low and the fishing is really slow.

Elmer Bull of Yerington reported he and his family had good action on a late afternoon at Beach No. 6, with live minnows, for some white bass, a couple of wipers and a walleye. The water level is really going down. ?Į

Todd Sodaro and Chad Machado of the Carson River Resort (877-694-2229): We had a couple of big plants (Thursday and Friday) and the fishing has been great. A father and son (Raymond and C.J. Dave Kirby: A big plant of nice fish on Friday. A 9-pound rainbow on a Panther/Martin lure by Kevin Rodgers of Woodfords on Friday. A 4-pound rainbow on Power Bait by Buddy Potter of Tacoma, Wash. on Sunday.

odd Sodaro and Chad Machado of the Carson River Resort (877-694-2229): Fishing has been pretty darn good. The water is still high. The fish are hitting everthing: Bait, lures and flies. Fishing is good and water level is starting to drop. Fishing should be good up until Late July. Check out stocking report for latest updates. The flow is 143cfs as 6/22/07.

Whiper Bass and White Bass fishing have been excellent almost anywhere in the lake. Beach 6 has been the most productive, but don't limit yourself. Any lure, buzz bait, spinner bait or jig will work. Move the lure across the bottom. Casting area should have aquatic vegetation or brushy cover. The narrows of the lake fished well for Wallleye according to Kim Tisdale, Western Region

Fort Churchill ponds have been fishing slowly since the warm whether try early in the morning and late evening for the bass. Slow retrieve with rubber baits have been most effective.

Todd Sodaro and Chad Machado of the Carson River Resort (877-694-2229): Everyone still catching fish. David White of Rio Vista caught a 3.3 pound rainbow on a nightcrawler, Devon Rackle of San Jose a 3.5 pounder on a Panther/Martin lure and Gene Ward of Crockett a 4-pounder on red Salmon eggs.

Dave Kirby: Fishing strong for some nice fish. Zac Sayed of Minden caught a 3-pound rainbow on a nightcrawler plus some small trout on Saturday.

Don Hettrick and Don Quilici of Carson City, plus Rich Bachle of Fernley trolled in "The Narrows" last Thursday. They caught and released several hundred small White Bass and one Sacramento Perch. The fish were hitting any lure that looked like a small fish.
