Record weekend temps and now single digits.  We set some records over the weekend for daytime temps. Today, it’s in the single digits with an East wind, brrrr. We had a great streamer clinic, still some spots for this Saturday’s clinic. The fishing has been good out on the East side on the lower Truckee River in Nevada. I haven’t really been messing with the river around here.

Getting ready rock day 3 in row after lil break. The weather man sure has missed it big. Forecasts said 50 degree days. Thursday started light rain. Got sunny then big east wind took us off. We got handful of Macs and few browns. Yesterday weather up on ski resort 50 degrees at 8000 ft. Carson valley 68 degrees but out on lake wet fog

Attention Anglers! Mason Valley Wildlife Management Area fishing ponds open on Saturday Feb. 8th! You can expect fully stocked water at Hinkson Slough and the Fort Churchill Cooling Pond🎣. However, North Pond, Bass Pond, and Crappie Pond are being drained to allow for fish habitat improvements. Fish have been salvaged to other locations, therefore fishing will be largely unproductive until next season.

Good winter fishing on the Truckee River. With the exception of a few days last week when it got real cold, fishing has been pretty good. January can be hit or miss, today was a HIT! Guide’s day off, appx 10 each, sun-up to sun-down (Nick Jackson and Ryan Dangerfield).

I added another day to the Streamer Clinic. February 8th.  The clinic on the 1st is full. 49ers are back in the NFC title game, and we’re sticking some big browns on the lower Truckee River. Can’t complain. A few warm days last week, but still pretty cold round these parts. Some smaller storms this week, and a good one late mid-week. Looks to be nice this
