Water level is dropping and the water is turning green with algae. Be careful of the island off of the boat ramp as it is just emerging from the water. Also prop rock in the canyon is about 6 inches under water so be careful there as well. Trout fair-early mornings are best. Perch fair to good.

There are no fishermen here, but the fishing is still excellent, both from shore or in boats. The perch, trout and bass are all hitting.

Ruby Lake Fish Report 06-27-07

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Not a lot of change here. Fishing is in limbo as the water temperature is such that the trout fishing is slowing down and the bass fishing hasn't quite picked up yet. However, if these 70 to 80 degree days continue, which they are forecasting for the next week or so, then bass fishing may start to pick up by Memorial Day weekend. The ditch

Wildhorse Reservoir Fish Report 06-27-07

Fishing has been good for trout especially in the Hendricks Arm using large(4"-6") minnow imitators. The best type of pattern appears to be a perch pattern and fish in the 10 to 17 inch range were mighty hungry. Even some 8 to 10 inch perch were hitting the 4" rapalas. Perch fishing is spotty, though once you find them fishing for them is fair to good

Fishing has been fair to good here also with wipers being caught by boaters trolling rooster tails in the area by the buoys at the south end of the lake. The best color appears to be brown. Trout fishing has been fair for shore anglers and fair to good for boaters with most fish being caught when trolling minnow imitators. Flyrodders should break out the

Angler use at Comins Lake has dropped significantly along with the trout population in the reservoir. During recent years, illegally planted northern pike have decimated this world-class trout fishery. Some anglers are making the best of a bad situation and have been fishing for pike, but word is that most would like to see the trout fishery come back. The Nevada Department of Wildlife is
