The Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery stocked more than 2,800 rainbow trout in the lower Colorado River at the fishing pier at the Willow Beach Marina on 6/29. The new pipe installation at the fishing pier will allow the hatchery to stock there regularly.

Seasonal heat is coming in strong with temperatures expected to soar over 110 degrees Fahrenheit this coming weekend. Fish activity will be at its best during the cooler morning and evening hours. This is some great fishing here along our shores of the Colorado River. We have rainbow trout and a striper along our shores and a catfish from up on Lake Mohave this week. The rainbow trout and striper were landed in the community park area. Our local angler Logan Tyler was fishing from shore using power bait for the trout and anchovies for the striper.

This week, we had striper action in our local area. Angler Mitchell Jones had success fishing from shore in the Rotary Park area, landing an 11.24-pound striper measuring 32 inches.
