48 Pound Striped Bass

Angler Jack caught this monster 48-pound, 13-ounce striper in about 10 feet of water in the flats across from South Cove. He also caught another lunker on the fishing trip.

Stripers on the Chew

The staff from Willow Beach Marina checked in this afternoon with an update from the Colorado River. Jim Schmid is on fire this month! He caught these two stripers at the 52MM using AC plugs today. The fish weighed in at 7.96 and 9.5 pounds. Nice job!

Eagle Valley Reservoir Fishing Report

Eagle Valley Reservoir Fishing Report

Ice on the reservoir is starting to thaw. There are small patches of open water, but as of Tuesday the ice along the fishing dock was still thick enough for fishing. This past week the stormy weather brought snow and rain and kept most anglers off the lake. Check ice conditions before venturing onto the reservoir.

Colorado River - Willow Beach Fishing Report

Willow Beach, Ariz. – After a three-year hiatus, catchable-sized rainbow trout from Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery (NFH) return to Colorado River waters downstream of Las Vegas, Nevada. The hatchery will release 2,500 rainbow trout into the cold waters below Davis Dam on January 12, 2017. The trout measure up to 12 inches long.
