Fishing continues to be great down on the Nevada side of the Truckee River. The California side of the river is a bit slow, due to cold weather and water temps. Water temps are in the mid-40s so best fishing is downstream. Big stones and small zebra copper Johns, Hogan’s red-headed stepchild work well – anything with red is a good trigger. After Nov. 15 the only open river will be the Truckee between Trout Creek and stateline and the Little Truckee between Boca and Prosser. All lakes except Martis Lake are open year round. (530)
