Fair to good fishing for small crappie and yellow perch.

Fishing has slowed but remains good for walleye on the reservoir side of the dam as well as on the downstream side of the Pitt-Taylor Dam. Wiper fishing is sporadic and slow. Fishing has picked up according to Kari Wright, Walker Lake biologist. Anglers have reported loads of success for boaters using spoons in colors orange and white and silver and green. Fishing is slow to fair for the few anglers making the trip to Lincoln County. Water temperature is below 40 degrees and the fish have moved to deep water. Despite lows in the mid-teens, ice has not yet begun to form on along the banks.

Fishing pressure is very light and the water level is still low, but anglers can still reel in a few trout.

Anglers continue to find good trout action near the Willow Beach Hatchery outflow though fishing also has been good elsewhere following the trout plants. During the morning trout are taking yellow PowerBait and peach colored salmon eggs while one angler found success with plastic worms during the afternoon. Cut anchovies fished about three cranks off the bottom were just the ticket for a pair of a small group of anglers who reeled in 127 striped bass while fishing outside of Gypsum Wash. They caught the fish in 55-60 feet of water under crappie lights. Most were in the one- to three-pound range. Live shad also continue to be productive. Action along the beaches

No recent report, but trout fishing was picking up. The pool behind the hatchery, the spring ponds and the collection ditch should all produce some fish. The collection ditch is artificials only, so read the regulations to know what you can and can't use. Bass fishing is done for the year.

The fishing here has been fair to good with nice trout being caught near the state park boat ramp and the Hendricks arm. Most fish are being caught by trollers using nickel flashers that are tipped with spinners or worms. Fish about 6 to 10 feet deep. No information on shore fishing. The road continues to be in good shape, though the northern part of Elko County is getting more precipitation than the southern half and if people start driving this road before it dries out it can become very rutted. Fish this lake like just like you would South Fork and you should be just fine.

I'm just guessing, but most of the alpine lakes are icing up and while this one is a bit lower, it is in shadow during the warmest part of the day, which is the afternoon and I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't starting to ice up. Little or no change here as the water level and temps are favorable to fishing. The surface water temps are in the low to mid 40's and the west third of the lake is seeing most of the action, though you should be able to catch fish almost anywhere. The old riverbed is always a good choice to fish as the larger fish hang off

Fishing is picking up as temperatures continue to cool off. Small flies, worms and spinners are all working.

With the pike problem, both bass and trout fishing has been poor.
