Here is a great catch by our local Mohave High Fishing Club! They were fishing from shore using anchovies for bait. Some stripers were landed in the Rotary Park area. The ranch is also still kicking out lots of nice fish lately, in addition to the flies mentioned for the California side you can also fish some stonefly nymphs and have good success. There have been a fair number of changes in conditions on the river this week as the flows out of Boca are cut down from 500 to 200 CFS causing the Farad area to drop down around 800. While we would say these flows are just about perfect, this drop combined with the hot days as of late, have caused the water temps rise down

Our local angler, Mike Merrit, took a group of youngsters out, and they caught fish. The striper bite has been doing well for this time of year. The young anglers fishing from shore in the Big Bend area were Russell and Ethan Mink, Hazel and Reagan Harbin, Dakota Landry, and Jayson Anderson. 785 cfs here in Hirschdale, and I’m sure that will come down this week some too. 550 cfs here in Hirschdale are perfect wading flows. 450 cfs in Reno is what you’re looking for. 750 cfs now.
