Water temperatures are in the 40s and trout fishing should pick up nicely

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Water temperatures are in the 40s and trout fishing should pick up nicely before ice starts to build on the lake. Anglers can expect to catch 14-to-18-inch Rainbow Trout. Anglers will catch the occasional Largemouth Bass however they are heading into their least active time of year. Dense vegetation continues to dominate most of the lake, making it difficult to fish areas of the south

Illipah Reservoir Fishing Report

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Water levels here are recovering from seasonal irrigation lows and surface temperatures are in the high 30’s first thing in the morning and ice is starting to build along the old dam. Fishing has good for eight-to-12-inch rainbow. A few brown trout are also being caught. For bait anglers nightcrawlers and rainbow PowerBait are the best bet. Small spinners, spoons and Kastmasters for those throwing

by MATT KOLES
Buckle up, weathers changing. Gonna get us a good dose of Winter this week on the Truckee River. In fact, the next several weeks, periods of cold and snow are in the forecast. If you streamer fish, good news. If you dry fly fish, good news too. As we head deeper into November, it should be real good, lower on the Truckee River in Nevada, and progressively

by TROUT CREEK OUTFITTERS
Pyramid has been in the in between stages of fishing currently. This causes the bait balls to be a bit more scattered and no longer right on the surface, bringing the trout higher in the water column, but still pretty far off the shoreline, making it tough for shore anglers. The best way for fly anglers to find fish right now is to get out

The Truckee continues to fish well

by TROUT CREEK OUTFITTERS
The Truckee continues to fish well, with the best sections being from the confluence of Boca reservoir to the Nevada state line on the CA side, as well as the entire Nevada side as the state takes less water this time of year with the agricultural season ending, keeping great flows down here all the way to Derby Dam. Here in California, we have mostly

Very low flows from Tahoe City to Boca

by MOUNTAIN HARDWARE & SPORTS
Water Conditions Very low flows from Tahoe City to Boca which makes the majority of the upper river not fishable right now. Because of the low flows, we recommended only fishing from Boca to Stateline. The river is flowing at about 444 CFS near the stateline and 8 CFS through the town of Truckee. Tips for the Week Indicator nymphing, tight line nymphing and streamer fishing are all
