The lake level is low. The Douglas County day use and boat ramp is open. The NDOW planted the lake recently with 4000 rainbow trout. Green powerbait has been most productive for shore anglers. Trollers have been using flashers and worms and the occasional Raplala.

A group of friends were out helping out with an early season deer tag in unit 173 and took a break during the day to check out Groves Lake. Water level was pretty low but clarity was good. Lots of action with a worm even in the middle of the day.
