Striped bass fishing has been hit or miss down the river, though some anglers have been in the right spot at the right time. Up near the dam anglers have been catching fish in the 2- to 4-pound class, but the river has given up some fish pushing past 20 pounds. The fish are taking anchovies, but don’t overlook trout imitations.
