Fish Reports

Jakes Creek Reservoir is full.  Anglers are having fair to good luck catching 13 to 18 inch trout from the shore, boat or float tube. Channel catfish were stocked 5/23/24. Bass fishing is fair to good for fish in the 10″-12″ range.

The water level at Illipah Reservoir is still in good shape. Water temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s.  With warmer water temperatures anglers are encouraged to fish the early morning and evening hours to reduce stress on trout.  Anglers should do well on nightcrawlers, PowerBait, spinners and wet flies behind a water bubble.  Flyfishers will do well with matching the hatch and throwing

Cold Creek Reservoir is still at 90% of capacity with rainbow trout and tiger trout being caught in the 10-to-12-inch range.  There is potential for some trout to be larger, however, they have not had too long to grow following the 2021 draw down of the reservoir to fix the outlet structure.  Anglers will do well fishing for trout using a variety of spinners, nightcrawlers,

Comins Lake is near capacity with water temperatures sitting in the upper 60s with surface temperatures reaching low 70s.  Fishing has significantly improved compared to last year, however catch rates on trout are still down.  Rainbow trout are being caught by anglers ranging from 15 inches up to 22 inches.  Nightcrawlers are producing trout for anglers, as well as spinner lures, wooly buggers, scud patterns,
