Good hatches of Baetis beginning to show in the lower river east of Sparks

by TROUT CREEK OUTFITTERS
With good hatches of Baetis beginning to show in the lower river east of Sparks, the Skwalas nearing emergence here in California, and the big aggressive fish looking more regularly at a well presented streamer, there are a lot of good ways to find fish on the river right now. While using nymphs under an indicator will still remain the most consistent day to day,

by DOUG BUSEY
The lake and the boat launch area is thawing nicely. I am planning a trip up to see how the boat ramp is, and if it is safe to use. A few angler have been getting down to the shore on the north and south end. Be careful along the shore. In the morning the ground is solid and frozen. But it will soften and

Fishing should be good in the Collection Ditch

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Fishing should be good in the Collection Ditch but check road conditions reported by Nevada Department of Transportation (www.nvroads.com) prior to any travel plans. Snow levels and windy conditions are impacting access on the county road to the Refuge and access around the refuge is also very limited.  No recent reports from anglers due to travel conditions.
