Some bass may be found still in the deeper pools

Fishing is slow on the Carson River due to low flows and warm water. Some bass may be found still in the deeper pools east of Carson City. 

This is a good time of year to find larger rainbows and browns near the surface

Last Couple Days on Tahoe Have Been Gold!

Last couple days it got cold. Starting today Monday very cool temps moving forward this week should cool the water and we will see some changes.   Let’s hope for precipitation!!

Last few days been fantastic!

            Last few days been fantastic. Rainbows, Cutthroat, Kokanee and big numbers of lakers.     If you fish deep you can beat up on the spawners but the meat is soft as they are providing nutrients to eggs and milt, go mid depths from 35-65 over 80 ft and strong numbers of 1-3 lb Mack’s not mature enough to spawn but firm orange meat great for table fare

This week the bite has been absolutely ballistic. You can basically choose what you want. Kokanees are still happening on the southwest corner but the fish are changing color. 85-100 ft down over deeper water both trolling and jigging. The lake level has dropped considerably. The boat ramp at the Douglas County ramp is open, but the docks have been removed. When you launch, stay to the west side of the ramp. There is a drop off on the east side of the ramp. New regulation this year. The lake is now open all year for angler to enjoy. The NDOW will be setting
