Fishing should be good in the Collection Ditch but check road conditions reported by Nevada Department of Transportation (www.nvroads.com) prior to any travel plans. Snow levels and windy conditions are impacting access on the county road to the Refuge and access around the refuge is also very limited. No recent reports from anglers due to travel conditions.

Jakes Creek Reservoir has 14 inches of ice and 1 to 2 inches of snow on the ice. Fishing remains fair for trout in the 10 to 16 inch range. The dirt road going in has a dusting of snow and patches of ice, making travel is easy but slow. Ice fishing holes must not exceed 10 inches in diameter (NAC 503.583).
