The ranch is still fishing very well for most of the anglers who've fished it this past week, as with the CA side it's mainly been nymphing with a few anglers doing well with streamers. The streamer action seems to be the best early in the day.

Lahontan Reservoir, located in Lahontan State Recreation Area, has been placed under a HAB Watch Advisory due to a possible Harmful Algae Bloom. Visual assessments have indicated a possible bloom. Water tests are currently being conducted by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP). These toxic algae can cause serious health issues for humans and animals. The ranch has also been kicking out some very good fish this past week with brown and rainbows up to around 23" being reported. They're still eating some stonefly nymphs on the ranch as well as most of the smaller nymphs mentioned above. The streamer action has been ok on the ranch but most of the action has been with nymphs.

The ranch has also been fishing pretty well this past week with lots of nice fish up to around 22" being caught down there. Much of the same patterns as on the CA side have been working but you can also think about some stonefly nymphs as well. 

Flows are perfect at the moment, but that can change very quickly. Flows will likely bounce around in the next few weeks with runoff into Bridgeport. Fly fisherman using large streamers have reported some healthy rainbows and browns this winter. There has been a few Skwala stoneflies hatching but no real prolific hatches have been reported. The California side of the EW is closed for Winter, just the Nevada side is open now. The flows on the East have been fluctuating quite a bit with the warmer, then colder weather we've been having, today the flows are at 115 cfs. Based on the few reports I've had from down there it sounds like the fish have been pretty tight lipped lately

Levi and June spent Saturday fishing in the Wilson Canyon section of the West Walker River, where they reeled in a nice catch — one Rainbow Trout and one Brown Trout.
