We had a successful opener with 33 fish over 2lbs turned in all averaging around 3-4lbs and had a total of 61 fish turned in for week 1.  There was a total of 12 tagged fish turned in the 1st day and 17 tags total for the week.  Our biggest fish for the week was a 9lb 7.7oz 24 1/2 in rainbow caught by Aaron Talhelm

Another picture perfect day out there today, the calm before the storm coming I guess. Father and son got the job done on the lake today. Fishing was great!  

Fishing was just a bit off today,  landed 5 and lost one but it took some doing. Beautiful day out there!

We’re out at Topaz Lake this morning in northwest NV for the Fishing Derby!  Nice rainbows all around. Topaz is on the CA/NV border.  It’s a fun spot in the winter or summer, and the fishing is on point.  Come see for yourself!

A cold last few days on the Truckee River. High’s are struggling to get into the 30’s all over the Truckee/ Reno areas.  With the North wind blowing, it makes it feel much much colder.  Serious man, or lady weather if you go fishing right now. Layer and wear as much shit as you can. As far as the fishing, well, it’s pretty good despite the cold.

Did some ice fishing this morning, ice on the deck, ice on the lines, pretty much ice on everything. but for these two guys braving the bitter cold.... NICE fish

Cold days and big winds bring the big fish in!  Not a lot grabs but when they hit they’ve been better quality fish.  I have some open days ahead contact me if interested in chasing some monster cutty’s!
