Carson River Fishing Report

East Fork of the Carson River’s current flow is 112 cfs near Gardnerville. Fishing will pick up as the flows stabilize and the NDOW hatchery truck will be visiting soon which should make a recipe for success.

Spooner Lake Fishing Report

Currently iced over. Expect fishing to be good when ice off occurs and fish are hungry after a long winter. A limited amount of winter die off is expected to have occurred in the lake. When conditions permit stocking of rainbow, tiger, and bowcutt trout will commence.

Truckee River Fishing Report

The Truckee's current flow in Reno is around 3,000 cfs. This year’s river flows will be substantially higher than they have been in recent memory. Knott Creek Reservoir Fishing Report

Pilot Peak Lahontan Cutthroat Trout Released into Truckee Basin Waters

Rye Patch Reservoir Update

We've just been informed that more water is going to be released from Rye Patch State Recreation Area. The River Campground below the dam is expected to be partially under water, but will remain open along with the Westside Campground.
