Western Nevada Fish Reports

The lake level has dropped and the fishing has slowed down. Here again is where that early morning fishing is more productive. I would recommend getting your presentation down deeper with either a lead line or a down rigger. Shore fishing has been fair for anglers on the south end with powerbait.

Marilyn’s Pond is fishing very well but has also been very busy. Stocking will continue as long as temperatures allow. Light lines and small hooks can help increase catch rates at Marilyn’s. Bait fishing with salmon eggs under a bobber is pretty consistent on the pond.

Baily is one of the best community ponds in the state. Trout fishing has been excellent this summer but will slow down as water temperatures climb and stocking slows down. Lahontan has been fishing very well for walleye, catfish, white bass, carp, and wipers. Carp and white bass can typically be found near the sandy beaches early and late in the day.
