Chuck Fields at the Topaz Lake Marina (775-266-3550) reported: Not much going on. Not a lot of people out here. Some boats yesterday (Sunday) caught their limits in two hours. The fish were running about 1.25 pounds. They were trolling about 200 feet off shore with flashers and nightcrawlers on the west side in front of the homes. The weather was windy but did not

Elmer Bull: Rich Ellington, retired from NDOW, fished on Friday. He did well on trout, up to 15 inches, with Brass Bead-Head flies under the surface. There were about 10 fishermen at the slough.

Missy at Burke's Market at Silver Springs (775-577-2750): Fishing has really picked up. One fisherman said he caught 6 pounds of Catfish with minnows at Beach No. 4. They are catching big Walleyes at Beach Nos. 10 and 12.

Elmer Bull: I had a report that Tim Hayden of Yerington caught a few nice bass, awhile back. He was fishing along the levee.

South Shore: Gene St. Denis: I've been fishing at Camp Richardson and Ski Run Shelf. Trolling at 45-60 feet at Camp Rich and then going deeper to 150-240 at Ski Run, with silver Herring Dodger flasher blades and live minnows.

East Shore: Gene St. Denis: Toplining is dead slow to good, dependent on the day. I'm toplining Rapala. Rebel or A/C lures in 15-25 feet of water for rainbows, Mackinaw and browns at Deadman's Point, Logal Shoals and Sand Harbor. Getting 0 to 4 fish per trip. The shore fishermen at Cave Rock are catching 0-4 rainbows with an occasional small Mack. ?Į

Andy at the Gilly Sporting Goods Store in Sparks at 358-6113: The fish are still biting well. The fly fishermen at The Nets are using Nymphs, Cooper Johns and Pheasant Tails. I had a report of an 8-pounder out there.

Carla Molino of the Pyramid Lake Store at (775) 476-0555: Fishing has been pretty good for fly rods. Pelican Point turns on and off for fishing success. The Nets is the best fly fishing location, but trying to find a spot to fish is hard at times because of all the fishermen. The boat fishing has been spotty. The best fishing has been out in

Tim Wilson of the Pyramid Lake Marina and RV Park at (775) 476-1156: Fishing has been a little slow but it is picking up. The majority of the fish are being caught at about 30 feet deep, close to shore, with the standard lures: Apex and Flatfish. Fly fishing has been decent with Woolly Buggers and lots of Nymphs and Cooper Johns.

Jeri Grellman of Sparks of Hog Charters (358-5199): Chris had a client out on Friday, who lost a 10-pounder right at the back of the boat. They were trolling deep water near Spider Point. On Sunday, Chris took a friend out and they caught and released 20 cutthroat, with the largest being 23 inches.

Andy at The Gilly Sporting Goods Store: It is doing well for fly fishermen in the late afternoons.

East Carson River: Lots of fishermen over the weekend but no reports by any of the fishermen. ?Į

Elmer Bull: My daughter and fished on Easter afternoon for a couple of hours. There were no other fishermen. We got skunked, while spincasting with lures and spinners.

Shirley at Burke's Market at Silver Springs (775-577-2750): Everyone has been pleased with the fishing out here. One fisherman with minnows got into a school of Walleye on Saturday that were 17-21 inches. The fishing has been good at Beach No. 7 and between Beach Nos. 4 and 6 for Catfish, Wipers, White Bass and Walleye. There was a 7.75 pound Walleye reported but the fisherman

The lake has been fishing really good for a month or so now. The fish are still spread around the lake and fish are being caught from Monument Rock to Anderson Bay. The nets area is very crowded.
