We have some fresh news from our local angler. He was out on his boat and landed a nice stringer of fish. The biggest catch was a channel catfish weighing 3.74 pounds and measuring 21 and 1/8 inches. The largest largemouth bass weighed 2.18 pounds and was 15 and 1/5 inches. There's no size limit on catfish, but bass must be at least 13 inches

Great news from Lake Mohave! Our local angler Mike Jones and his grandson Kaleb Williams from Atlanta, Georgia, were trolling an AC plug and landed a nice-sized striper. The striper weighed 8.74 pounds and measured 29.14 inches. The lake is doing well, and anglers are catching stripers in the coves near the power lines and along the rock area near Davis Dam. At Lake Mohave (report courtesy of Rusty Braun of Riviera Marina), stripers are active, with anglers doing well near the dam on the Nevada side by the rocks. Trolling has been effective just outside the Katherine Landing Marina in the Telephone Cove area, while the coves past the power lines are producing some fish with anchovies being the bait of choice.  

The striper bite is going strong, with stripers being landed up and down the Colorado River. Whether you're fishing from shore or a boat, you have a great chance of landing a few of these fish. Even up on Lake Mohave, the bite is doing well. Reports indicate that stripers are being brought to the boat in the coves near and around the power lines
