We’ve got some great news for local anglers! There’s a solid run of stripers right now, and some trout are in the mix as well. Rotary Park has been freshly stocked with rainbow trout, making it an excellent spot to cast a line. Local angler Theresa Richardson recently landed a beautiful striper while fishing from shore along the Colorado River. Her catch weighed in at 4.58

Expect muddy and high water throughout the summer. Fishing will be difficult. 

The Colorado River below Davis Dam is producing some excellent catches this time of year. Anglers are reporting success from various spots, with anchovies working best, while different lures are bringing in some of the larger fish. One of our local anglers, Karie Camargo, stopped in to share her recent catch — a beautiful 3.66-pound, 22-inch striper! She was fishing from shore in the Rotary Park

I had to share my granddaughter Riah's or Ri as she likes to be called catch of one of the rainbow trout that was stocked at rotary park. even in the bag its a nice size fish. the Willow beach hatchery has done a super job of getting us supplied with rainbow trout. I am getting news of stripers being picked up along our shores
