by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The Nevada Department of Wildlife recently stocked channel catfish at the community fishing ponds. The catfish are already hitting lines at Floyd Lamb and Sunset Parks. Anglers are using night crawlers and stink baits. There are a few hold-over rainbow trout to catch in the early mornings. Bluegill are starting to hit on mealworms later in the day.

Fishing is good

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Fishing is good. Black Bass are hitting drop-shot rigs with creature baits and deep-diving crankbaits. Stripers are hitting on anchovies from shore near Boxcar Cove and outside Hemenway Harbor. Crappie fishing is peaking in the Overton Arm. Anglers are finding success with chartreuse jigs and tubes. Catfish are becoming more active as water levels warm throughout the day. Sunset fishing seems to produce the most

Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Well, this time it's my son Albert and me heading out for some river fishing. We're leaving the marina and making our way through the canal that leads to the Colorado River. This time of year, shore fishing is doing well. Anchovies are producing stripers, and swim baits are working too. I like using something in a trout pattern, but white and yellow are always great

Yep, it's me—out on a river boat run, and this time, without a fish. This time of year, fishing can be hit or miss. Not everyone lands the fish they're targeting. Some days are slow, and others are great. The fish move around and will often circle back, so it’s all about finding that right spot. Backwaters are great areas where the stripers like to hang

This may go back a bit, but this size of fish is what’s running now. These stripers can be caught from shore using anchovies or lures. Our water levels this year are a bit out of whack, but for those fishing with bait, we have some bait wrap thread available to help secure your bait to the hook. I recommend using a hook size between

The strong winds have been keeping boats off the water

by RUSTY
As for the Lake Mohave fishing report, it's a bit quiet, likely due to the windy weather. The strong winds up there have been keeping boats off the water, as the rough waves can be challenging for smaller vessels. Just a reminder—it's always a good idea to let someone on shore know your plans, including your departure and return times.

Hey, it's me again! I landed these fish using a Panther Martin spinner, yellow with red spots. I really like this one—it works well in our area. When fishing for trout, spinners are fun, and anglers have a lot of choices. Some work great, while others that might work in lakes just can’t seem to get the trout to bite. If your lure isn’t catching
