Local angler Dale Scott recently landed a nice striper at Rotary Park, along with a rainbow trout, while fishing from shore using anchovies. Stripers are still chasing topwater lures right after sunrise. Anglers are reporting larger striper catches when jigging at depths around 100 feet. Black bass action is hit and miss, with anglers finding the best bite from Callville Bay through Government Wash. The fish are taking crankbaits in shad and crawdad patterns, as well as a variety of floating baits.
