The lake is still producing fish when you can get out. Jointed Rapalas in black and silver have been most productive. If you’re using lead core line, use an F5 or F6 black/silver or perch pattern. Shore anglers have done fair off the north end of the lake with PowerBait or inflated nightcrawlers.

With the shutdown, the trout fishing is pretty much on hold, but anglers are having great luck landing stripers and some smallmouth bass up on Lake Mohave. Trolling has been working well using bucktail jigs and various swimbaits. Anchovies have also been successful at the mouths of several coves. Flows have remained good, at least below Boca, and the weather has been mild. Look for the weather to change this week and look more like Winter at times, but nothing to extreme yet. Flows are about 460 here in Hirschdale, and about 500 cfs East of Reno. That's very good for us this late in the year. Cold overnight lows in Truckee. Start a bit later
