Well the second trip was a grind for 5 fish. Little rainbow and brown then nice couple macs. Payed my taxes with lost tackle but simply part of game. Not sure if wind burn face hurts more than sunburn but I feel it! Great job team Norton.

Trout Bite Has Been Good

The trout bite has been good. Anglers are catching fish using a variety of baits and lures at Adams-McGill and Cold Springs reservoirs. The largemouth bass bite is starting to pick up at Haymeadow and Adams-McGill. Aaron Walker reported that he caught and released 36 bass on a recent outing. Another Good Week For Anglers

It was another good weekend for anglers at Spring Valley State Park. Rainbow trout are hitting gold or silver spoons and rainbow-colored PowerBait while tiger trout are liking crankbaits. The bass bite has been good. One lucky angler hauled in a 9.5-pound largemouth over the weekend. Keep in mind that catch-and-release regulations for largemouth bass are in effect until July 1.

Crappie Are Hitting Jigs

The reservoir remains full, and the crappie are hitting jigs. So too are largemouth bass. Trout have been hitting well off the dam and the south shoreline. Anglers are catching the fish with Kastmasters and spinners.

Striped Bass and Rainbows Are Active

Colorado River - Laughlin

Striped bass and rainbow trout are active below Casino Row. Shore anglers are catching stripers with anchovies between Casino Row and Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area. Jointed swimbaits that look like rainbow trout or bluegill will entice the bigger striped bass along the river. Trout are biting on PowerBait fished from the shoreline and boats.

Catfish Are Hanging Out Near Drop Offs

Striped bass are hitting off the Willow Beach Fishing Pier and down south by Telephone Pole Cove. Anchovies and Rat-L-traps are working the best. Black bass are active in coves with vegetation. Working soft plastics near the mouths of the coves will get you the best action. Catfish are hanging out near drop offs and are taking anchovies and chicken liver.

Night crawlers, mealworms, and PowerBait grubs are working well for stocked bluegill. Largemouth bass are taking plastics and spinnerbaits in most of the ponds. The Nevada Department of Wildlife has plans to stock catfish prior to Memorial Day weekend at Veterans’ Memorial Park, Lorenzi Park and Floyd Lamb Park. Sunset Park will not receive fish because the aeration system at Sunset Lake is not currently

L.V Wash is Hot Spot For Bass

The Las Vegas Wash is a hot spot for both black bass and stripers. Black bass are hitting dark-colored plastics. Anglers are catching striped bass primarily with anchovies, but the fish also are taking jerkbaits. Anglers are finding good fishing for catfish in coves. Cut anchovies, night crawlers and stink baits will catch the fish.

Truckee is Running High and Clear

Ranch Still Fished Well This Week

East Walker River Sceirine Ranch

The ranch still fished pretty well this week in spite of the higher flows. Most of the anglers this week reported 8 to 10 fish per day with some of them taping around 20 inches. No Wind, Great Action

Team Schear from Texas on the annual trout assault! No wind, great action. Lost probably 7 or 8 fish. Kept 5 Rainbows, and 6 macs and let go another handful of fish go! Action came between 6:45 and 8:45 am! Had cancellation for tomorrow.... who wants in?
