Lake Tahoe is fishing great this week!

by MOUNTAIN HARDWARE & SPORTS
Lake Tahoe is fishing great this week! Surface temps are 53–56°F, and calm mornings are ideal for trolling. Mackinaw (lake trout) are active at 30–60 feet, with most catches in the 3–6 lb range and some double digits. Kokanee are starting to show, and rainbows and browns are feeding more aggressively as water warms. Midges and small mayflies are hatching along shorelines early in the

Deep trolling remains highly productive

by MOUNTAIN HARDWARE & SPORTS
Pyramid Lake’s season ends June 30, and deep trolling remains highly productive for large Lahontan cutthroat. Anglers are finding success at 70–90 feet using orange flatfish, spoons, and chartreuse jigs around Warrior Point, Monument Rock, and Hell’s Kitchen. Early mornings offer the best bite before winds pick up, especially for those using leadcore lines or downriggers. Shore fishing remains slow due to warming water and

Surface water temps are climbing into the 60s

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Surface water temps are climbing into the 60s. The reservoir is full and water is relatively clear. Trout up to 18″ are being caught. Try small Panther Martins and Mepps, worms or your favorite PowerBait. Anglers are reporting an increase in bass and catfish catches with the warmer weather. Shoreline fishing remains accessible, but vegetation growth typically makes this more difficult as the summer goes

Trout fishing has been fair to good for fish in the 9 inch range

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Trout fishing has been fair to good for fish in the 9″ range and should remain consistent after recent stocking efforts. Small, flashy spinners or PowerBait combined with small pieces of worms are working well. Bass and bluegill fishing is beginning to pick up with the warmer weather. The water level is low so the boat ramp cannot be used at this time.

Trout fishing has been fair to good following spring stockings

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Harrison Pass is open. Trout fishing has been fair to good following spring stockings. Trout in the 15″ t0 20″ range are being caught in the collection ditch. Fish are starting to hit dry flies with the warmer weather. Small, flashy spinners like

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Water temps are reaching into the low 60s. Trout fishing from shore has slowed a bit compared to the last few weeks, but boaters are reporting decent catch rates. Trout are averaging 16″ to 22″. The reservoir is full and spilling

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The reservoir is full and spilling. Trout fishing has been good following the stockings last week. PowerBait and worms or small flashy spinners should work for spin anglers, while small nymph, midge and leech patterns should work for fly anglers. Bass fishing is just beginning to pick up. The trout bite has been good following spring stocking efforts

Water temperatures are rising to mid-60s. Mormon crickets have arrived at the reservoir and are falling into the water. Both trout and bass are hitting the crickets hard. Try mimicking the color and shape of the crickets with your bait or lure. The trout bite has been good following spring stocking efforts. Bait anglers are having the best luck with trout hitting orange PowerBait and flashy

All time good on the Truckee River

by MATT KOLES
All time good on the Truckee River.  Flows are healthy, water temps are perfect, and trouts are happy.  It's that window of time on the river when you don't have to wok for them as hard as usual.  Every bug is hatching, and nymphing with any generic nymph should probably work. This week we should see Green Drakes. Green Drakes is one of the biggest mayflies in the
