We have a couple of stripers are local anglers brought in while fishing up on Lake Mohave. Richard Erdmann and Raul Gonzalez had to troll for about 4 hours to land these 2 stripers. The Nevada Department of Wildlife stocked rainbow trout in Beatty Pond and in the ponds at Veteran’s Memorial, Sunset, Lorenzi, and Floyd Lamb Parks last week. The fish have been biting on PowerBait, mealworms, and night crawlers, as well as small spinning lures and spoons.

Boaters are having luck with stripers up to 4 pounds in the Boulder Basin. Some are trolling soft swimbaits, and others are jigging in around 40 feet of water. Smallmouth and largemouth bass are hitting watermelon-colored worms and green pumpkin jigs. Crappie anglers are experimenting with tube jigs and swimbaits in the Overton Arm.
