Wilson Reservoir Fishing Report

With the recent precipitation, expect the road to be 4WD only and travel isn’t recommended. No recent report, but conditions are generally the same as at South Fork. If you do head in this direction for some chukar hunting, you may find some open water to wet a line. Use the same patterns and techniques as at South Fork.

South Fork Reservoir Fishing Report

There is ice in the coves and the south end of the lake but still some shoreline with open water to fish. The warm weather and even some rain here this week, is keeping the lake from freezing over. It looks like Sunday, December 11, will be the best day for fishing for the next 10 days as we are in a very wet cycle

Cave Lake Fishing Report

Cave Lake is covered with very unsafe ice. With next weekend’s lows approaching zero, it won’t be long until we have safe ice here. However, early in the season, ice conditions can change very rapidly, so always check the thickness before getting too far from shore.

Cold Creek Reservoir Fishing Report

No recent report for this lake. It is probably covered with unsafe ice and with the precipitation forecast, anglers may have to walk in only to find it unfishable.

Eagle Valley Reservoir Fishing Report

Dropping temps has left most of the reservoir covered with a thin layer of ice. Some anglers have found a few open spots or broken the ice along the shore line to find some success for rainbows using powerbait or nightcrawlers.

Echo Canyon Reservoir Fishing Report

The reservoir hasn’t seen much action this past week due to the thin layer of ice, which is unsafe to walk on.

Lake Mohave Fishing Report

The lake level is currently 640 feet above msl. At this elevation reefs and sandbars are exposed so be very careful of rocks just under the surface. The fishing dock at Katherine's Landing produced some nice fish. The striper bite has returned according to reports. Armando and Jerry landed a couple of healthy stripers (5.14 lbs. and 3.98 lbs.) from shore using anchovies

Colorado River Fishing Report

Trout stocking has begun and the latest stocking was the week of Nov. 6. The next stocking is tentatively scheduled for the week of Dec. 18. The best bait is reported to be yellow and orange power bait and of course night crawlers. Try small spinner baits if the power baits are not working. Pyramid Lake has been good if you hit it during the low light periods of the day. That will change with a steady stream of low pressures moving in. It can be lights out at times, and it will be very good out there the next few weeks.

Lake Mohave Fishing Report

The lake level is currently 636.8 feet above msl. This elevation reefs and sandbars are exposed so be very careful of rocks just under the surface. The fishing dock at Katherine's Landing produced some nice fish. The catfish bite is picking up as Scott’s 9.12 pound channel catfish shows. He likes using chicken liver and anchovies if the liver doesn’t get bites.

A little snow and cold temperatures moved in over the weekend leaving some ice along the shoreline. The holiday weekend saw few anglers at the park, but several limited out with 12- to 14-inch fish.
