Water temps here on the Truckee are hitting the 68-degree threshold daily along most of the river, with maybe the exception of right below the confluence of Boca Reservoir. Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Our local angler, Steve Beasely, landed a couple of nice stripers while trolling on Lake Mohave near Davis Dam. He was using a jig to land these fish, and other anglers are also getting a few stripers on anchovies and swim baits. Here along the shores of the Colorado River below Davis Dam, anchovies have been producing very well. We have a lot of great spots

by MOUNTAIN HARDWARE & SPORTS
Anglers planning to fish the Lake Tahoe should check current weather, wind conditions, and local reports before heading out, as conditions can change quickly during the summer months. Right now, water temperatures are in the high 60s to low 70s, making most of the fishing from shore difficult. Most of the fish are deeper at this point in the season.

Lake Tahoe Fishing Report

by DOUG BUSEY
The fishing has been slow. Most anglers have been going deep with downriggers using n F9 Rapala or a dodger followed by a live minnow. Best areas have been Dollar Point, the Tahoe Shelf or along the Camp Richardson area in the rocky areas. For more information go to Rubyjeancharters.com.

Topaz Lake Fishing Report

by DOUG BUSEY
I braved the heat and left my boat at home. I fished the shore a few places and the fishing was slow, but productive. I caught a 2lb rainbow and a 1lb rainbow using rainbow Powerbait. I fished from 7am until noon when I ran out of shade on the south end of the lake. I talked with a couple trollers that said they had

Lahontan Reservoir Report

by DOUG BUSEY
I would recommend getting out there early and either have a canopy on your boat or find a shade tree. It gets HOT out there. But the fishing has been good. A fellow angler and a friend of mine fished out there last week and caught 7 walleye, 7 crappie, 5 white bass,3 yellow perch and on 32 inch long channel catfish. Now not to

Hot is the word on the Truckee River. Big heat wave all over the West right now.

Hot is the word on the Truckee River. Big heat wave all over the West right now.  Get your asses out there early if you want any good trout fishing. The window is early and not for long. Meaning after about 11:00, put a fork in it.  (Trout are cold blooded creatures. They need cold clean water. When the water gets above a certain temperature, say 67,

Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Here’s the latest Colorado River fishing report from below Davis Dam! Our local angler, Matt Crowder, landed some beautiful striped bass while fishing from his boat. He was using a swimbait, and it proved to be a very effective technique. These stripers are a great eating size—easy to fillet and perfect for a delicious meal. We've also been hearing that anglers fishing from shore are having good

We have our local angler, Mike Merritt, with a nice mixed bag of fish! He was targeting stripers using anchovies and ended up landing some beautiful catfish as well. We do have channel catfish in the river, and it's always nice to see a few being caught. There are plenty of folks who enjoy these fish for the table. While we're on the subject of catfish, have
