Boca Reservoir is currently full and fishing best during the early morning and evening hours before boat traffic becomes heavy. Expect even more boat traffic this weekend with the holiday. Shore anglers are finding success near the dam using spinners, PowerBait, and worms, while fly anglers continue to report quality fish around the Little Truckee River inlet. The kokanee bite remains fair, though most fish are still relatively small. Anglers targeting kokanee are having the most success trolling wedding rings behind flashers while covering water and searching for active schools.
