Wide Open Bite This Morning

Got tomorrow open if anyone is interested. Bite was wide open this morning! About and hour to get these then went looking for bows and got more macs and bows.

Today’s Raid! Got em quick then looked for bows but only had one on that came off. Lots of lost fish today! Water temps are still 7-10 degrees cooler along with air temps making the fishing different each day but if you want em you can get em.

Offically Summer in Tahoe

July 4th has come and gone.  It’s officially summer in Tahoe. Go in Safeway in Truckee and you’ll see why. Flows are perfect on the Truckee River. There was lots of folks on the river this last week. Guides, anglers, floaters. All the weekend warriors were out. Nice thing, you can still find solitude as they’re lots and lots of river miles to get away from people.

Flows Have Dropped out of Tahoe

The flows have been dropped out of Lake Tahoe and the snow melt has subsided meaning great conditions here on the Truckee! There have now been some significant hatches throughout the day including PMD’s mid-morning and green drakes sporadically mid-day and then caddis are a constant in the evening.
