Finally made it back to the lake, Pyramid Lake. Good, good fishing happening out there right now. March is always a good month at the Mid. From now into May, it’s game on. Find a beach with some wind coming in on you and you should find some fish. This is the time of year for big numbers of fish, and big fish too. Also, this

Boca is filling rather nicely, and Stampede has come up about 15 feet in

Pyramid Lake Producing Big Cutts

It’s that time of year again at Pyramid Lake when the fishing is off the hook, and the Lahontan cutthroat trout are on the feed. March is a top producing month at the big pond, and April can be very productive as well. The entire season has fished better than normal this year, even with the cold water temperatures during February. With an active weather

Fishing is Good

by FISH FIRST (CHICO, CA)
Fishing is good. Best reports around Wino, Separator, and Blockhouse. A 7wt rod with a 250 grain shooting head is best to get a tui chub or bugger down. For a good yo-yo action, add a tadpole approximately 2ft behind a bugger. To get Lohanton Cutthroat trout on the bite, fish balanced leeches under an indicator in the chop. Pay close attention, as the takes
