I ventured down to Topaz Lake last week with fellow angler Tom Blotter. We were on the lake by 6:30am and off by 11:30 am. We trolled the east and the north west shores with Rapalas. This week the Lahontan National Fish Hatchery stocked 6,139 catchable Pilot Peak strain Lahontan cutthroat trout into Lake Tahoe. Stocking will continue weekly throughout the summer at various publicly accessible locations in both California and Nevada.
