Big 4th of July weekend on the Truckee River. Hot, but not as hot as last week. Running in the 80’s, instead of the 90’s. Even had some t-storms this week. Flows are holding real steady at 450 cubes here in the Hirsch. Not bad. Get out early and get off the water at least noon on the CA side. Nevada, I’d be off the water around 10.

Fishing conditions on the Truckee River are good right now. Flows are still great out of Lake Tahoe with water temperatures at about 63 degrees in the morning and getting to around 66 during the day. Well went Kokanee trolling today. Been many years since I’ve trolled for them. We generally jig for them because most years they are 12-16 inches which I feel like we’re making bait.
