Shore anglers are seeing fish come closer to shore now. The north end of the lake is starting to fish better than it has been. Some places in the north end to try are Spider Point, Windless Bay, and Pelican Point. Anglers fishing in the Glenshire area should focus on using dry flies such as blue winged olives or midges. As We celebrate the #25DaysofFishmas, this Saturday’s Hot Spot is the Collection Ditch at Ruby Lake NWR in Elko County. As cold temperatures set in, area waters are freezing. But the collection ditch is fed by springs that come out of the ground at 51 degrees, keeping much of the ditch open for fishing. This portion of the lower Colorado River in Bullhead City offers some of the best rainbow trout fishing in Arizona, as well as a chance to catch some hearty striped bass.
