Nevada Fish Reports

The fishing for stripers or trout remains rewarding here along the Colorado river. Below the Davis Dam we have rainbow trout that are brought to us form the federal hatchery. These fish are stocked from October till the end of March and this is usually because of our warmer weather which could and can heat up the trucks that bring in the fish. This week

The 2nd Annual One Fly Tournament is March 28th in Spring Valley State Park (Eagle Valley). Entrance fee is $20. All proceeds go to the Kids Fishing Day. Registration begins at 9am & the tournament is from 10am - 1pm. There will be prizes, a raffle, & lunch! Hope to see you there!

A new state record for carp has been broken! Brenden Burnham caught this 35 pound, 3 ounce carp at Virginia Lake in Reno yesterday. The previous state record was 34 pounds 10 ounces. We haven’t had much traffic on the ranch lately though the one report we did get in recent weeks was pretty good. The seemed to be liking stonefly nymphs, worms and soft hackles the best down there.
